Rangeway Energy - Field Notes #5
Hey Pathfinders,
Big month for Rangeway. We announced three new strategic partnerships and unveiled a refreshed brand identity.
If you missed any of it, here's the full recap.
A New Mark for the Road Ahead
Earlier this week, we introduced Rangeway's refreshed visual identity: a new logo, refined color palette, and typography system designed for the road ahead.
When we started Rangeway, our logo featured a stylized mountain range with a rising sun. It made sense on paper. We were building along America's highways, often near natural destinations. Mountains. Sunsets. The open road.
But there was a problem. In conversation after conversation, partners and investors would ask:
"So you're building these at National Parks?"
The outdoor imagery was working against us. We weren't building a gear brand. We were building a hospitality company.
The breakthrough came when we asked ourselves the right question: what do we want people to feel when they see us from the highway?
Not "National Park charging." Not "outdoor brand."
The answer: a welcoming destination ahead.

Our new logo, the Path Mark, is an R letterform that doubles as a road leading to a warm destination dot. That orange glow represents the promise waiting at every Rangeway location: climate-controlled comfort, quality refreshments, premium restrooms, and reliable charging.
When you see the Path Mark on a highway sign, you'll know exactly what's waiting inside.

Monta: Our Charge Point Management Partner
On Monday, we announced Monta as our charge point management software partner.
If you follow the European charging market, you know Monta. Founded in Copenhagen in 2020, they now manage over 250,000 commercial chargers and process more than three million monthly charging sessions. They've been the platform of choice for networks across advanced European markets.
Now they're one of ours.
Why Monta? Their platform delivers the reliability and sophistication we need to guarantee a premium experience at every location. Real-time charger monitoring. Dynamic pricing. Seamless payment processing. OCPP 2.0.1 compliance for hardware flexibility. Plug & Charge support for frictionless sessions.
This isn't a standard vendor relationship. Rangeway is an early U.S. network partner for Monta, joining a growing list of networks choosing their platform for North American expansion. We're building together.

Juice: Plug-and-Go for Every Vehicle
Earlier this month, we announced our partnership with Juice, bringing plug-and-go charging technology to every Rangeway location.
What does this mean for you? Seamless payment and session initiation across all major EV platforms. No fumbling with apps. No wondering if your card will work. You plug in, charging starts, and payment happens automatically.
The technology works with existing vehicle payment systems, making charging as simple as pulling up to the pump used to be. Except now you get a climate-controlled Driver's Lounge while you wait.
This partnership matters because friction kills the charging experience. A 20-minute charge feels longer when you spend the first five minutes fighting with a payment terminal. Juice eliminates that frustration entirely.

ReNuTeq: Premium Canopies, American Made
Also earlier this month, we announced our partnership with ReNuTeq for prefabricated, solar-powered charging canopies.
If you've charged at premium European networks like Allego or Fastned, you've noticed something American networks often lack: distinctive architecture. Their canopies are signature elements, instantly recognizable and designed for the experience, not just utility.
ReNuTeq brings that standard to America. Their Structural Engineered Bamboo (SEB) canopies integrate solar panels, wiring, and lighting into a beautiful, sustainable package. Fast to install. Engineered for durability. Distinctively Rangeway.
These canopies do more than look good. The integrated solar arrays offset our energy consumption. The consistent design creates visual identity across our network. Every Rangeway location will feel like a Rangeway location, even from a distance.

The Trail Marker Podcast
New episodes of The Trail Marker are coming in January.
The podcast is the real story of building Rangeway from the ground up: wins, setbacks, lessons learned in real time. Some episodes are storytelling. Some are tactical deep-dives on vendor selection, site economics, and solving problems other networks ignore. Some are founder diary entries about the messy middle that nobody talks about.
